In the next 3 years, we aim to provide our service to 25 lakh members belonging to the low-income segment. Our partner portfolio will be a mix of organisations which operate in Rural and Urban areas. Our model of working with partners is to test a product (usually a period of 9-12 months from the launch of the Pilot) and then once operations stabilize, scale it up by 8-10 times. The geographical expansion will be carried out in a phased-manner in various States across rural and urban India.
We will constantly measure our impact to determine the effectiveness of our approach. During the next 3 years, we envision creating an impact on the following lines:
Social Impact: During this time, the social impact on enrolled consumers is expected to be
- 30% reduction in total family outpatient costs including outpatient drugs
- 50% reduction in number of household going 'below the poverty line' to big health events like
surgeries and hospitalisation
- 80% of consumers registering an improvement of healthcare – based on qualitative customer reviews and quantitative impact assessment surveys conducted annually
- 50% reduction in the incidence of common diseases through preventive care education
- 50% reduction in total number of man-days lost due to illnesses
Benefit for Service Providers: Due to the concentrated flow of enrolled consumers and referrals within
the eco-system, the doctors, diagnostics, hospitals and pharmacies would experience higher patient volumes and hence, the potential for a significant increase in their revenues.
Benefit for Partner Organizations: Most community-based organisations desire to enhance their health portfolio because healthcare expenses form a significant proportion of household-spending. Creation of a scalable, self-sustaining model, backed by a service provider for specialised operations, not only
enhances the organization's reputation but also provides a fillip to its other offerings to the community.
Benefit to Community: Additional employment will be generated within the community itself in the
form of the CHWs and the owners of the pharmacies selling low-cost drugs. Furthermore, it will promote
empowerment of women as the female CHWs will be seen as role-models within each rural / urban unit.
