A. Chief Technology Officer
Swasth India currently runs on Swasth Live, which is a web-based Health EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system, built on open-source technology. It is also being sourced by 2 other organisations working in the healthcare space for their specific needs. Swasth Live was developed in-house and currently operational on more than 100,000 records and also has been ported for most mobile platforms.

Swasth India wants to create a separate revenue model and business entity to house Swasth Live; and the CTO would be a key person in the top-management.
The role of the CTO would be to -
Improve and innovation on the code-base for Swasth Live
Explore new technologies for health (eg smart-card, ECG, telemedicine, etc)
Recruit and train IT developers to enhance the team
Pursue leads with clientele (such as doctors, clinics, hospitals, government agencies)
Candidate Background:
We are looking for the following experience and qualifications -
3-5 years of experience in IT development / implementation
Prior experience in developing web-based applications (esp, health systems)
Background in Computer Science and Engineering (or similar degree) from a well-known engineering institute
Alumni from any of the IITs would be a big plus point
B. Medical Officer
The activities to be undertaken as part of the responsibility would include
Family Physician of Members and their Families -
Outpatient treatment of common ailments
Refering complex patients to appropriate specialists
Stabilizing and refering unstable patients to specialists or hospitals
Antenatal care to pregnant women with uncomplicated pregnancies
Managing pre-hospitalization diagnostics and post-hospitalization followup care for uncomplicated hospitalization/surgery cases
Performing minor surgical procedures under LA
Seeing patients in outreach programs
Conducting mobile clinics
Medical Examination as part of Enrolment of Members
Health checkups of all Members
Maintain detailed records
Keep self up-to-date regarding evidence-based practice
Supervision and Clinical Support to ancillary staff and Community Mobiliser
Additional Tasks that may be taken up by other staff members later
Helping setup additional clinics
Helping design and implement processes
Day-to-day management of clinic – Keeping stock of drugs/consumables/ lab reagents/stationery
Monitoring of processes
Patient education about health scheme(s)
Administration of injections and IV
Dressing of wounds
Dispensing medications
Doing lab tests
Collecting fees
Maintaining patient register
Maintaining lab register
Maintaining pharmacy register
Implement Preventive Health programmes

Candidate Background: Ideal candidate should have a clinical degree with atleast 1-3 years of clinical or public health experience.
